The chief focus for Concordia’s youth (high-school age members and their friends) is on the study of
God’s Word and their relationship with Christ Jesus. We encourage prayer and Bible study in our meetings. The youth
meet for Sunday school in conference room “A” on the first floor of Concordia from 9-9:45 a.m., led by Ron Centner.
We have a Board of Youth since 2010 and board members plan with the youth fun events, servant events, and other
activities. They have their own space in the basement of the church with shuffle board, foos-ball, ping pong, bowling.
They meet at least each month and do a Bible study or a study in a book (Rev. Fisk’s “Broken”) written for young
Christians. Our youth in recent two years have gone to Sky-Zone (an incredible building filled with trampolines), bowling,
ice-skating, canoeing, camping, baseball games, servant events, and hiking. Also, we have gone every other year (we’d
like to go every year) to the Higher Things Youth Conferences that are held regionally at different cities in the summer.
These conferences are awesome and go an entire week. We’ve attended one in Atlanta, Georgia and last summer we
attended the one held in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
